TNA To Leave The Impact Zone- Fans Return To The Universal Popeye Ride

TNA will move out of the Impact Zone permanently once they tape their “One Night Only” PPVs there in March. They are ending their lease with Universal Studios Orlando and after the tapings they will take their production, rings and sets.

They have been regularly taping TV there since leaving the Nashville Fairgrounds in June 2004. TNA is getting rid of the costs of the live monthly PPV and the Impact Zone and using the money into running tapings on the road every week.

I fucking hate the Impact Zone. I've never seen a crowd composed of more Hogan marks sprinkled with blank, un-enthused stares. I also see this as rubbing some wrasslers the wrong way. Wrestling has traditionally carried a very rugged road schedule, but TNA was very appealing to some of the guys who could settle in Florida, see their family more often, and not travel too far to work. I'm interested to see the benefits and the fallout that this could provide.

Jobbers, probably $500/night. Top guys are probably knocking down mid - high 6 figures, more if you add in the indy dates and merch.

They're paying Old Van Fat, Anderson, Angle, and Hardy waaaaay more money than they deserve. Hardy may be the only justified salary amoung their top earners, as he sells da' shirtz to all the little kids and delusional rat whores.
